Ukraine has a population of approximately over 50 million inhabitants.  Ukraine is the birthplace of many celebrities such as Milla Jovovich, Olga Kurylenko, Mila Kunis, etc.  The world renowned film director Steven Spielberg has Ukrainian roots.  The entertainment industry is not the only one who have benefited from a country of such splendour.  Scientists such as Sergey Pavlovich Korolyov, Nick Holonyak, Jacques Bogopolsky and Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko have all been Ukraine's contribution to Science and mankind.  Ukrainians have also been very successful in terms of the Olympics.  Olympian athletes such as Dmytro Hrachov, Viktor Ruban and Oleksandr Serdyuk for archery; Vadim Gutzeit, Grigory Kriss, David Tyshler, Losif Vitebskiy and Sergiy Kravchuk for fencing, Oksana Baiul, Alexei Beletski, Natalia Gudina and Viktor Petrenko for figure skating, and so many more.

Ukraine is the perfect place for tourists because there are so many places to explore and so many things for anyone and everyone to do.  There are old churches such as St. Sophia of Kiev, Church of the Saviour at Berestove, St. Cyril's Church, Assumption Cathedral, Paraskevi Church, Golden Gate in Kiev, and so on.  Lovers of arts and crafts might want to check out the traditional and modern music available, as well as weaving and embroidery which have a significant role in the Ukrainian folklore.  Hiking, kayaking and beach activities are also very popular, in specific regions of the country.  The cuisine is also not to be missed.  Ukrainian dishes comprises of hearty meals with lots of potatoes and meat (chicken, beef, pork).  Mushrooms are also a very popular ingredient for many of the dishes in this part of Eastern Europe.
